Electroplating plastic baths

Description

Poliplast Ltd. manufactures baths for all kinds of technological processes. We make everything for quality improvement and costs reducing. The dimensions and additional equipments can be arbitrary and can be determined with the customer.

For the inner surface of bath because of the direct contact with the chemicals we select special material: polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polivinildeftorid (PVDF), polyethylene (PE).
Baths material is selected for the each specific process. In case of high temperatures of solutions we use metal for baths' manufacturing, in other cases we use plastic.

Baths can be equipped with zinc generator, solutions metering system, automatic water spray, solutions recovery system, cathode rods tilting mechanism, system for oil removing from the bath, system of water metering, water treatment system, pumps, chiller for solutions cooling, filtering systems and capacities.

Plastic materials

Polypropylene (PP) baths

Polypropylene is the most common material for inner lining. Polypropylene is resistant to most acids and alkalis and is used in solutions with temperature up to 80 degrees.

Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) baths

PVDF is a material consisting of polyvinylidene fluoride (70%) and acrylic (30%) with a glossy surface. Polyvinylidene fluoride is self-cleaned, highly resistant to mechanical damages. Polyvinylidene fluoride retains its properties at temperature up to +120C.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) baths

PVC is resistant to almost all electrolytes solutions used in electroplating. But PVC is not resistant to action of aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons ketones, esters and concentrated nitric acid.

Polyethylene (PE) baths

PE is a thermoplastic material with high chemical resistance, poorly conducting heat and electricity. Polyethylene is used either for inner lining, or for manufacturing the elements for ventilation systems because of its resistance to law temperatures.
